Over the years, I’ve been blessed with some pretty incredible moments: from winning the “Best Family Recipe” competition at the Midwest Home Cooks Expo, to having several of my dishes featured on Good Morning Eats and collaborating with local chefs for community cook-offs. I’m a proud member of the Home Cooks Collective and my recipes have been published in the Tasteful Gatherings annual magazine. Each of these experiences has deepened my commitment to sharing food that’s both approachable and truly delicious.
But beyond any awards or features, what truly matters to me is the joy of creating recipes that bring people together. How It All Started
My love affair with recipes began in my grandmother’s sunny kitchen. I still remember the smell of her cinnamon rolls wafting through the house and the sound of laughter as our family gathered for Sunday breakfasts. Those childhood memories were my first taste of how food could fill a home with warmth and joy.
As I grew up, I was always the one volunteering to bring a dish to every potluck, birthday, and holiday gathering. I found myself pouring over old family cookbooks, experimenting with new twists on classics, and jotting down every winner in my trusty recipe journal. It wasn’t long before friends and family started asking for my recipes, and my kitchen became the neighborhood spot for taste-testing.
The more I cooked and shared, the more I realized my true passion: inspiring others to cook with confidence and joy. Meals By Rose was born from a desire to help busy home cooks find simple, delicious recipes they could count on—and to share the stories and laughter that make every meal special.
